Our international partnerships (Chambéry + Annecy)

  • Option 1: You attend a university abroad and follow their curriculum and pay their required fees, not the tuition of your home institution
  • Option 2: You choose a univeristy which has a partnership with IAE, meaning you will technically be enrolled as a student at IAE during your exchange. You will pay the necessary fees and complete coursework to complete your degree at IAE.

You will not be able to receive a diploma from your study abroad institution. There are few scenarios in which this is possible.

On this page, we will answer your questions about timing, transferring crédits, costs, etc.,

STUDY ABROAD SURVIVAL KIT: We will tell you everything you will need from identification documents, health and accident insurance abroad, financial aid, general advice, and more! For the moment, this document is only available in french.

In any case, study abroad can present you many opportunities!

  • Help you to realise your potential to adapt to new and foreign situations
  • Immerse yourself in a new culture
  • Become more independent; while discovering a new way of life, study, and work in a new place
  • Improve your foreign language abilities through immersion
  • To make friends from around the world

According to "L'Agence Europe Formation France"; "All of the aforementioned qualities are highly regarded by recruiters. Having an international experience is extremely important criteria to those on hiring committees. A study revealed that 54% of Erasmus+ students believed that their study abroad experience helped them secure their first job. If you choose to pursue an exchange outside of the EU, recruiters will be particularly impressed."

Study Abroad (Erasmus+, BCI, ORA, ISEP... )

Preparation for study abroad starts many months in advance.
At the start of the academic year, IAE has informal sessions during which you can learn about the logistics (credit transfers and how you can fulfill your degree requirements abroad), possible destination options, and application deadlines.

No matter which programme you choose to pursue, you must complete an application including your curriculum, foreign language experience, hopes for study abroad, cover letter, and your transcript since you began university.
